Description
This project incorporates a variety of stormwater practices into the Waukee Public Library parking lot expansion and street widening projects. The bioretention cells, permeable pavers, and detention wet pond will reduce stormwater runoff and provide water quality treatment, aesthetic appeal, and create habitat in a highly urbanized area. The close proximity to a library, school, and a church offers an opportunity for engagement and education of the public on the benefits of installing these practices.
