Description
The new Webster County Conservation Education Center will incorporate a stormwater treatment wetland that redirects flows from a city storm pipe before making its way to the Des Moines River. In addition, several biofiltration areas that include native riparian pollinator planting species throughout the site will support habitat, water quality, and resiliency goals. The location of these practices will provide interpretive programming showcasing water quality practices and their benefit to the Des Moines River and larger community.  This project is part of the larger, $5 million Webster County Conservation Education Center project that will begin construction Spring 2022.
