Summary
The City of Johnston enacted a program to help residents with soil quality restoration.

Description
The City of Johnston implemented a citywide campaign to complete soil quality restoration on lawns and green space throughout the city with a total restoration goal of 20 acres. The end result was a staggering 209 properties participating in soil quality restorations treating 51.6 acres. This project improved the ability of lawns to hold and infiltrate more water into the soil and reduce runoff. It is the largest SQR Batch and Build project to date.

The project was completed in April 2024.
