Description
The Broadway Avenue Water Quality Project is a part of a greater 5-mile long road reconstruction project. Implementation of a stormwater wetland and 25 bioretention cells in the right of way will assist in treating the runoff from the newly constructed road before it makes its way into Fourmile creek. Native prairie sod was used to instantly vegetate the bioretention cells. A newly constructed trail connecting the Chichaqua Valley Trail and the Gay Leah Wilson Trial will include interpretive signage along the trail to educate thousands of trail users of these adjacent stormwater management practices.
